Nokia Lumia 900 to hit ATT on March 18th only for $99

A source speaking to BGR confirmed the Nokia Lumia 900 is set to launch on March 18th. This 4.3” WP7 handset will make its debut on AT&T just for $99.99 on a two-year contract. That would be a wise decision from both AT&T and Nokia. They may benefit from the contrast that will be made with Verizon’s laughable $300 on-contract price point for Android LTE handsets.

Nokia Lumia 900 with 12MP camera may be introduced to T-Mobile, Verizon and Sprint in Q3, 2012

According to WinSupersite and “a source at a rival wireless carrier”, AT&T has a 45-day exclusive hold on the Lumia 900. After that time, other carriers can negotiate with Nokia for a version of the handset that will work on their networks. The source speculates that T-Mobile, “probably Verizon” and “possibly Sprint” will also introduce some version of the 900 after it's been released on AT&T, most likely in Q3 of 2012. These improved versions of the 900 will allegedly come with an improved 12 megapixel camera, instead of AT&T’s an 8MP one, the source revealed.

It will have "a nicer camera to compliment the big screen" and will allegedly look exactly like the Lumia 800, but with a larger screen. The microSIM mechanism is reportedly changed to resemble the one used by Apple in its iPhones (push with a pin to release the card). Depending on feedback, the Lumia 900 will either keep the Lumia 800's matte finish or will be a glossy one.

    Samsung Captivate Glide Smartphone Review
Samsung Captivate Glide Smartphone Samsung Captivate Glide Smartphone 2

The Samsung Captivate Glide may be my favorite Android smartphones on AT&T out of all of the devices I received.  With what I consider “moderate use” – calling, text messaging, surfing the web, downloading apps, and taking a few pictures, I’m easily able to make it through the day with some juice left to spare.

The Samsung Captivate Glide is a nice smartphone that also packs a decent QWERTY keyboard, so those that message regularly can snag it without being concerned that they’re missing out on high-end features. Packing a 1 GHz dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor(unique for Samsung phones), it hits the ground swinging with a 4-inch Super AMOLED display, 8-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording, a front-facing camera, 1,650 mAh battery, and Android 2.3.5 with TouchWiz 4.0.  It’s a nice little powerhouse that performs really well, and it’s available at AT&T now for $149.99 with a new contract.

LG Nitro HD smartphone for ATT with 4G LTE Review

LTE is currently tech and I'm happy to see LG making a presence on AT&T's 4G LTE roadmap. The LG Nitro HD smartphone is their third LTE-enabled device after Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket and HTC Vivid, and comes in at $249.99 on contract. Nitro HD is sporting the usual high-end trimmings, including a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon CPU.  The phone is relatively fast most of the time. Its 4.5-inch IPS display is a true 720p HD display and images are beautiful. Call quality is pretty great.  Nitro HD ships with a 1,830 mAh battery and that was a bit worse than the Galaxy S II Skyrocket.

The LG Nitro HD smartphone is AT&T’s first smartphone to feature an HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display, as well as its third to have LTE connectivity. It is now available for purchase from the carrier. LG Nitro HD 4G LTE Smartphone hands on

The LG Nitro HD smartphone will join AT&T’s lineup this Sunday, December 4th. It packs a sharp 1280 x 720-pixel HD display, which is easily one of the Nitro’s biggest draws. The dual-core 1.5GHz processor is certainly fast — there doesn’t seem to be any lag during standard operation. A quick test of AT&T’s pre-launch LTE network gave us download speeds between 6.81Mbps and 8.98Mbps, which is pretty fast. If you're keen on two-year contracts and have $250 to spare, the LG Nitro HD smartphone could very well be your next handset.
