LG Nitro HD smartphone for ATT with 4G LTE Review

LTE is currently tech and I'm happy to see LG making a presence on AT&T's 4G LTE roadmap. The LG Nitro HD smartphone is their third LTE-enabled device after Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket and HTC Vivid, and comes in at $249.99 on contract. Nitro HD is sporting the usual high-end trimmings, including a 1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon CPU. The phone is relatively fast most of the time. Its 4.5-inch IPS display is a true 720p HD display and images are beautiful. Call quality is pretty great. Nitro HD ships with a 1,830 mAh battery and that was a bit worse than the Galaxy S II Skyrocket.

LG Nitro HD smartphone for AT&T with 4G LTE connectivity is available for $249.99

The LG Nitro HD smartphone is AT&T’s first smartphone to feature an HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display, as well as its third to have LTE connectivity. It is now available for purchase from the carrier. You can pick it up from AT&T now for $249.99 with a new two-year contract and customers in select markets (maybe the ones where LTE services are available) can get it online here for only $149.99.

LG Nitro HD 4G LTE Smartphone hands on

The LG Nitro HD smartphone will join AT&T’s lineup this Sunday, December 4th. It packs a sharp 1280 x 720-pixel HD display, which is easily one of the Nitro’s biggest draws. The dual-core 1.5GHz processor is certainly fast — there doesn’t seem to be any lag during standard operation. A quick test of AT&T’s pre-launch LTE network gave us download speeds between 6.81Mbps and 8.98Mbps, which is pretty fast. If you're keen on two-year contracts and have $250 to spare, the LG Nitro HD smartphone could very well be your next handset.
