HTC change the codename of Edge to HTC Endeavor

HTC Edge is rumored to launch around March or April under the retail name “Supreme” touting a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor, a 720p HD ‘optically laminated’ touchscreen, 1 GB of RAM, and 8 MP camera, Beats Audio, and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. However, the Edge isn’t the Edge anymore. HTC will change the codename of the handset to the HTC Endeavor.

The Motorola MOTOLUXE is being positioned as a solid mid-range Android smartphone since its specs consists of an 800MHz single-core processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. Others include an 8MP camera, a VGA front-facing camera and 1,400 mAh battery. The device feels great in the hand, the 4-inch qHD display is clear and bright, nothing noticeable squeaks, and that lit lanyard slot still has us smiling.

The HTC TITAN II smartphone feels great in the hand with a slight lip near the bottom. The glass and metal components feel very satisfying. The 16MP camera has zero lag and you would never know except for the super high resolution. The speed of the device is up there with the current TTIAN and over all, this looks to be a real attention getter for Microsoft, Windows Phone and AT&T/HTC.

Earlier this week we heard about Sprint’s LG Viper 4G LTE Android smartphone. Now Sprint-Feed got their hands on an internal leaked document to give us more information about the specifications. Pricing and launch dates are still not known yet.

Sprint announced LG Viper 4G LTE ECO-friendly smartphone

The LG Viper is an ECO-friendly smartphone in Sprint's lineup, having a casing, 35% of which is made of recycled plastics. And there’s a “charger with a no-load consumption rating of .03W, exceeding the EC Code of Conduct on energy efficiency.”

The device features a 4-inch WVGA display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 5-megapixel camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, and LTE connectivity. It also comes with NFC/Google Wallet support, while running Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Sprint’s LTE network is expected to launch in mid-2012 in San Antonio, Houston, Dallas, and Atlanta.

Sony and AT&T have announced the Sony Xperia ion. It’s expected to be available in the second quarter of 2012. The Xperia ion is an Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone with an Ice Cream Sandwich update in the future.

The Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus is the successor to Samsung’s heaviest mid-range gun, the Samsung Galaxy Ace. It has arrived with last year’s minimum spec — a slightly larger, 3.65-inch HVGA (320 x 480) display, 1GHz processor, five megapixel camera, 3GB internal memory and HSDPA. The Galaxy Ace Plus runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread with Samsung’s TouchWiz interface. It will begin sale this month in Europe, Russia, Latin America, Asia, Africa and China.

HTC Radiant Windows Smartphone for ATT allegedly pictured

The HTC Radiant is a HTC Titan-like device rumored to be among a trio of AT&T-bound, LTE-infused Windows Phones poised for launch at CES. From Pocketnow, we don’t have any hard spec details on this smartphone but find some different designs between the Titan and the Radiant as below:

- Top: a fairly larger HTC branding and a bigger front facing camera lens
- Right side: the buttons are slightly shifted towards the bottom of the phone
- Back side: there’s a camera with dual LED flash, a curve to the aluminum above the camera and a non-removable battery

The next Samsung flagship, probably the Samsung Galaxy S III, has been rumored yet again to arrive at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February 2012. According to Korean website ETNews, the Galaxy S III will sport a 4.6” HD (1280 x 720) Super AMOLED Plus display, a 1.8GHz dual-core processor, a rocking 12MP camera, LTE connectivity, 2GB of RAM and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with TouchWiz. Still unclear is if the 3D functionality will be available on all Galaxy S III devices or if it will come as a GS3 variant.
